In order to be certified eligible to participate in GIAA athletic and academic competition, each year Valwood student-athletes in grades 8-12 must have a Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form on file with the school prior to the first day of classes.
In addition, Valwood students in grades 5 through 7 are also required to have an annual Physical Evaluation on file. This ensures that all of our students have physician approval to participate in Junior Pro or Middle School sports programs. Fourth grades students may be required to provide a Physical Evaluation if they elect to represent Valwood in a community youth sports league.
Physical Evaluations should be completed annually during the summer months and submitted to the Administrative office in Crane Hall prior to the start of school each August. This timeline allows us to have required documentation in hand prior to fall sports pre-season conditioning and practices and ensures accurate eligibility certification.
Valwood School athletic teams have won many state championships since our founding and the success continues!
